Gorillaz, Ethel Cain, and Bad Gyal among the first names announced for Roskilde Festival 2026

The major Danish non-profit festival unveils the first 24 names for next year's lineup and kicks off ticket sales. The 54th edition of Roskilde Festival will take place from 27 June to 4 July 2026.

24 artists from 10 countries across five continents offer a first glimpse of a lineup that blends genres and trends, includes hundreds of music and art acts, and unites generations.

When 130,000 participants gather at Roskilde Festival from 27 June to 4 July 2026, Damon Albarn's star-studded, genre-breaking cartoon band Gorillaz will be one of the headliners performing at the brand-new, expanded main stage. With hits like 'Feel Good Inc.', 'Clint Eastwood' and 'Dare', the upcoming album Mountain arriving next spring, and the band's distinctive animated universe, the show promises an unforgettable musical and visual experience.

Today's announcement also features Ethel Cain, whose vulnerable Americana has captivated audiences worldwide with its dark, storytelling universe. The American singer made her Roskilde Festival debut in 2023 and now returns with numerous critically acclaimed shows under her belt.

Other names include Catalan reggaeton star Bad Gyal, Mercury Prize-nominated British rapper Pa Salieu, the Japanese DJ ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U, Nigerian Afrobeats singer Lojay, and country singer Sierra Ferrell, who in February took home four Grammy Awards, including Best Americana Album.

"We are unveiling the first glimpse of a lineup that truly reflects what Roskilde Festival has always been about: bringing people together in a unique community across generations, backgrounds, and musical preferences - and giving artists a space where they can grow and develop. It's no coincidence that several of the artists announced today have previously performed on the festival's smaller stages and are now returning to a larger audience. One of our key missions is to create an environment where art can evolve, because it is in these moments of breakthrough that new ideas, movements, and perspectives can emerge and unfold. This is also a part of our core values as an independent, non-profit festival", says Thomas Sønderby Jepsen, Roskilde Festival's Head of Music.

Today's announcement also marks the start of ticket sales for Roskilde Festival 2026, which will welcome a total of 130,000 participants and are made possible by 27,000 volunteers.

A full festival ticket costs 2,600 DKK (approx. € 348), and a single-day ticket costs 1,430 DKK (approx. € 191). A two-day ticket for Roskilde Festival 2026 costs 2,200 DKK (approx. € 295).
