NEW ITEMS: Sustainable Christmas

The Danish design company, byWirth, is launching a series of ornaments that encourage creativity and invites to co-design. The new collaboration between byWirth and designer, Trine Find, gives the opportunity of enjoying this Christmas collection throughout December - year after year.

This year's Christmas collection byWirth gives you the opportunity of reusing them year after year, extending Christmas and, not most importantly, giving the design your own personal touch. These new items fit perfectly into byWirth's universe where durability and design set the framework, while you create your own look.

Naturally, all wood is FSC certified, meaning that it comes from sustainable forestry where a new tree is planted as soon as one is felled.

The minimalist's dream Christmas tree

Since 2020, byWirth has taken over the sales and development of Trine Find's popular Filigree Tree. Trine Find originally came up with the idea in 2007 when she decided to make an Advent calendar for her son. However, it quickly dawned on her that innovative and sustainable Nordic design created a new possibility for extending Christmas. The functionality and simplicity of the design was, therefore, an obvious addition to byWirth's other collections:
"I can't imagine that people would use Filigree Tree as a replacement for a real Christmas tree. But it's an obvious choice to have it standing throughout all of December - without shedding needles. The three different sizes give opportunity to bringing the Christmas spirit into everything from a starter apartment to the large, established home," says Signe Wirth Engelund, founder of and designer for byWirth.

The Filigree Tree collection has been expanded this year with a medium-sized, 100 cm version.

Filigree Tree is available in soap-treated oak, oiled oak, smoked oak and black painted oak as well as three different sizes:

Design your very own Christmas decorations!

byWirth's new Christmas concept, Christmas Sticks, is built on a 'design it yourself' concept. Each package contains 3-4 ornaments which you can combine with one of the two types of hooks in a brass finish: the ordinary hook or the unique Christmas tree candle holder where the ornaments function as a counterweight under the candle.

Just like byWirth's other ornaments, Christmas Hang On, they show timeless colours and classic shapes in folded paper, cork and brass giving the possibility of using the hook all year round - not just for Christmas.

If you are extra creative, you can even supplement with your own ornaments.
