Having already announced acts such as Foo Fighters, Angel Olsen and Trentemøller, plus a special show with both Moderat and Modeselektor, Roskilde Festival has announced a new wave of headliners and stars of the future for the 2017 edition.

Canadian favourites return to Roskilde
Arcade Fire's debut album Funeral was an instant classic upon release in 2004: with its distinct sound, emotive lyrics, pure ambition and melodious superiority, the Canadians not only soundtracked an era but effectively pushed the limits of indie rock. Arcade Fire have since expanded on their sound, and their rich back catalogue and unique live shows over the past decade have firmly cemented their unique position.

With a new album underway, Arcade Fire are ready to take on the legendary Orange Stage for their first show at Roskilde Festival in 10 years.

American chart-toppers and beloved synthesizers
Solange has long been a star in her own right, and it seemed only fitting when her new album A Seat at the Table went straight to no. 1 on the Billboard chart. Highly praised by fans and critics alike, the politically charged and extraordinarily gifted American will play Roskilde Festival for the first time next summer.

Enjoying a return to the non-profit bash a decade since their last visit, French duo Justice will light up the festival with their brand-new album and heavy collection of hits. Fans of synthesizers and pop history cannot afford to miss the influential and beloved Erasure who are guaranteed to deliver a flamboyant show packed with sing-along moments.

American pop-punk trio Blink-182 are rare guests in Europe, and their Roskilde Festival show next summer will be their first visit to Denmark, whereas acts like Warpaint and The Lumineers will make triumphant returns to the festival.

Urban vibes and Nordic delights
The godfather of grime, UK's very own Kano, returns to Roskilde alongside urban artists such as Møme from France, New York's Princess Nokia and Wiki and Norwegian sensation Cashmere Cat.

Other Nordic acts include Norway's Blood Command, Sweden's Viagra Boys and Danish rock monsters Kellermensch.

Head of Programme Anders Wahrén says:

"Arcade Fire have spearheaded a new generation of indie rock, and they've grown tremendously in terms of both ambition and popularity since their last visit to Roskilde Festival 10 years ago. We look forward to a majestic and overwhelming night when they play our iconic Orange Stage in 2017."

"The acts that we've announced today are from 10 different countries and represent a myriad of different styles. On a larger scale, this sort of diversity is what's so important to us. From Korea's Black String to a trendsetting urban artist like Kano. From a political star like Solange to something heavier like Red Fang, these artists all do something unique in totally different ways."

With a total of 39 acts announced for Roskilde Festival 2017, about one fourth of the total line-up has now been revealed.
