Faro Barcelona presents Tatawin

A closer look at the collection shaped by form, light, and materiality

Faro Barcelona introduces Tatawin, a lighting collection that reflects the brand's Mediterranean approach to design. Rooted in warmth, material honesty, and conscious craftsmanship, Tatawin translates these values into a contemporary lighting language. Designed by Spanish designer Adolfo Abejón, the collection builds on Faro Barcelona's vision of creating lighting that prioritizes well-being, functional clarity, and everyday comfort.

Rather than focusing solely on form, Tatawin embodies the brand's belief that lighting should enhance real spaces and support the rhythms of daily life. Its silhouette recalls the gentle curves of the traditional houses of Tataouine in southeastern Tunisia, interpreted through Faro Barcelona's editorial lens that blends architectural inspiration with human centered design.

A dialogue between structure and shade

Tatawin is built on Faro Barcelona's design values: visual serenity, functional clarity, and durability rooted in material responsibility. The robust steel structure gives each piece presence and longevity, while the blown triplex glass or lacquered metal shade diffuses a warm and comfortable light characteristic of the brand's Mediterranean perspective.

Abejón's creative input enriches the collection, yet its purpose is anchored in Faro Barcelona's vision. The fixtures are sculptural without being imposing, refined without losing everyday usability. Table and floor versions incorporate rotating arms that allow light to be directed closer or further depending on the moment, reinforcing the collection's functional adaptability.

The full range includes table lamps, floor lamps, wall fixtures, and multiple suspension formats. Each typology maintains a consistent visual identity while offering different applications, allowing Tatawin to support reading areas, dining spaces, circulation zones, and ambient corners with the same coherent aesthetic.

Color, atmosphere, and material refinement

Color plays a key role in the Tatawin collection. The US launch begins with black and white, with the full color palette scheduled to arrive next year as part of the collection's planned expansion. In its complete palette, the line will feature lacquered metal tones such as glossy white, black, grayish blue, reddish orange, and green. These finishes allow the lamps to adapt to restrained, neutral interiors or bring character to more expressive spaces.

Materials were selected for durability, sensory richness, and conscious production. Steel brings clarity and resistance. Blown triplex glass adds texture, depth, and a warm diffusion of light. Together they reinforce Faro Barcelona's commitment to Mediterranean craftsmanship and to creating lighting rooted in authenticity and thoughtful design.

A versatile collection for contemporary living

Whether placed beside a reading chair, suspended above a dining table, or used as a sculptural element in a hallway, Tatawin is designed to evolve with the spaces it inhabits, giving designers and homeowners room to experiment with scale, interaction, and mood. The collection reflects Faro Barcelona's commitment to thoughtful processes, material intelligence, and lighting that enhances real spaces with clarity and quiet atmosphere.
