Franck Genser x Louis Vuitton: The Acqua Table Debuts at
Milan Design Week 2026

During Milan Design Week 2026, French designer Franck Genser collaborated with Louis Vuitton to present the Acqua Table as part of the Maison's Objets Nomades exhibition at Palazzo Serbelloni.

Presented in an immersive exhibition exploring the dialogue between Louis Vuitton's heritage and contemporary design, the Acqua Table reflected Genser's sculptural and architectural approach to furniture. Featuring a curved black marble top inspired by the movement and surface of water, the piece subtly referenced the iconic Speedy bag through its softened, rounded edges. A refined joining detail, reminiscent of leather wrapping, translated the construction language of Louis Vuitton's leather craftsmanship into furniture design.

The Objets Nomades presentation unfolded through richly layered interiors combining furniture, textiles, decorative objects, and iconic trunks, celebrating the intersection of Art Deco influences, craftsmanship, and innovation. Within this context, Genser's contribution highlighted his ongoing exploration of raw materiality, balance, and refined sculptural form.

Held at the historic Palazzo Serbelloni, the exhibition brought together an international dialogue of contemporary designers and artisans, positioning the Acqua Table within a broader celebration of design excellence and savoir-faire during Milan Design Week 2026.

Driven by a sensitive aesthetic, Franck Genser does not hesitate to blend different exceptional skills to create a piece. He particularly works with noble materials that will develop a patina over time, such as walnut, parchment, marble, and Japanese lacquer.

This unique approach results in objects brimming with emotion. They fit into a heritage perspective, serving as a current and future testimony of our era.
