A PERSONAL FOUNDATION
Interior design had long been a quiet passion for Liz, one she shared with her mother as they settled into a newly built home. Her mother helped sew window treatments and cared for her young daughters, taking part in the everyday moments that made the house their own. In May 2013, six months after the move, her mother was diagnosed with glioblastoma. Through the uncertainty of her illness, home offered a place where three generations could find comfort and connection. Following her mother's death in November 2014, Liz leaned on her faith and felt called to pursue design professionally. She began taking night classes and interned at a design firm before continuing her education at FIT. Her first custom home commission funded her tuition, while designing spec homes for her husband's construction company gave her practical experience bringing building and interiors together. When Liz later found a dedicated studio in a former carpenter's shop, she chose a name that reflected her purpose. "Agape," representing God's unconditional love, expressed the care and service she wanted to bring to each client relationship. Today, those values guide her approach to inviting gathering spaces, thoughtful layouts, and details that support family life. Each decision considers how clients will use a room and how they will feel within it, creating homes where comfort and connection are part of the design from the beginning. |
