Tréca Paris delivers bespoke comfort at the Villa Medici, a place suspended in time

Nestled in the heart of Rome, the Villa Medici continues its transformation launched in 2022 with the "Reenchanting the Villa Medici" program. In 2025, this ambitious initiative reaches a new milestone: six guest rooms have been entirely redesigned and two citrus gardens restored, offering a renewed experience where heritage and creativity engage in a refined dialogue.

Driven by a diverse collective of architects, designers, landscape artists, craftspeople, and contemporary artists, this new chapter embraces a collaborative approach. In this spirit, Tréca Paris-a house renowned for its exceptional savoir-faire-joined the project. Committed to preserving heritage and supporting creative expression, Tréca Paris brought its expertise to the Villa, offering a bespoke contribution worthy of this historic site.

The "Reenchanting the Villa Medici" program, launched in 2022, continues its path in 2025 with a major transformation: the reimagining of six guest rooms and the restoration of two citrus gardens. Rooted in the desire to combine heritage and creativity, this transformation brings together the perspectives of architects, designers, artists, and artisans, united by a shared ambition: to reinvent the forms of hospitality within an exceptional heritage site.

In the south wing of the Villa, six rooms-each approximately 40 square meters-have been reinterpreted by multidisciplinary teams. Each space has been reimagined as a unique entity, revealing the richness of materials, the strength of volumes, and the beauty of original details. Architectural elements such as coffered ceilings, herringbone brick floors, and historic openings have been preserved and enhanced, engaging in dialogue with contemporary interventions showcasing exceptional craftsmanship-glasswork, ceramics, metal, wood, and decorative plaster finishes.

This project came to life thanks to the commitment of patrons devoted to the arts and crafts, including the Bettencourt Schueller Foundation, the Banque Populaire Foundation, and the house of Tréca Paris. By choosing to support this initiative, Tréca reaffirms its dedication to cultural heritage and the transmission of craftsmanship.

As a designer of high-end bedding, Tréca Paris has brought its expertise to enhance the comfort of the Villa's residents. In each of the reimagined rooms, mattresses and bed bases were custom-made using noble materials and traditional craftsmanship. By contributing to this renaissance, Tréca plays a role in a contemporary reinterpretation of hospitality-where the bedroom becomes a fully fledged creative space, alive and considered down to the finest detail.
