Franck Genser showcases collectible designs in Paris and Milan

Milan Design Week

At this year's Milan Design Week, Franck Genser presented a focused selection of works that reflect his ongoing exploration of material, balance, and sculptural presence. Shown as part of Le Design Défilé in the Brera Design District, the presentation brings together three defining pieces from his collection.

At the center is the Cascade Fini 135 lamp, an alabaster lighting piece that captures a sense of movement through its rhythmic vertical composition. Alongside it, the Brutalist Table anchors the space with a monolithic form, while the Scarf Armchair introduces a softer, enveloping gesture. Together, the works establish a dialogue between structure and fluidity, where light and material are treated with equal importance.

Genser's was also on view at Art Paris earlier this month. Across both presentations, his approach remains consistent: objects are conceived not as isolated designs but as spatial elements that shape atmosphere and perception.

From the diffused glow of alabaster to the tactile weight of sculpted forms, each piece reflects a refined sensitivity to how materials interact with light and environment. The result is a body of work that feels both grounded and quietly expressive, reinforcing Genser's position within a new generation of collectible design.

Driven by a sensitive aesthetic, Franck Genser does not hesitate to blend different exceptional skills to create a piece. He particularly works with noble materials that will develop a patina over time, such as walnut, parchment, marble, and Japanese lacquer.

This unique approach results in objects brimming with emotion. They fit into a heritage perspective, serving as a current and future testimony of our era.
