As the season shifts, the bedroom evolves with it. The first warm days invite a fresh perspective on the sleep space, lightening the atmosphere and allowing the room to breathe. More Than A Mattress

A good night's sleep is not a promise but a construction. For Tréca Paris, comfort results from a precise balance between three inseparable elements: the mattress creates the initial welcome and provides support, the bed base reveals its full performance, and the topper refines the overall sensation.

This holistic approach is rooted in a founding innovation. As early as 1960, Tréca developed the Air Spring® suspension, the first pocket spring technology also integrated into a bed base. Support is delivered point by point, motion transfer is minimized, and the structure naturally encourages air circulation. Three firmness levels, determined by the gauge of the steel wire, allow the bed's response to be tailored to each sleeper's profile. These suspensions are produced in the brand's French workshops, heirs to a long tradition of wire-drawing craftsmanship.

Within this same philosophy, the bed base extends the work of the mattress and amplifies its qualities. Crafted from pine sourced from sustainably managed forests, featuring rounded corners and assembled with wooden dowels, it combines technical precision with refined finishing. From the heart of the spring to the structure of the base, every detail reflects the same intention: to create a coherent sleep system where support, breathability, and precision work in harmony.

Materials That Breathe

Inside the mattress, everything starts with the cover. It insulates the suspension, stabilize the materials, and enhance resilience. Softcare, Talalay latex, and natural latex help structure comfort and ensure lasting performance.

Next come the natural fillings. Wool, in its various forms, regulates moisture, insulates without overheating, and helps purify the surrounding air. From French wool to Royal Alpaca, including Baby Camel and Baby Lama, each fiber provides lightness and hypoallergenic properties.

Linen and hemp, in turn, offer a refreshing, natural feel, ideal for summer. Silk, naturally thermoregulating, balances body temperature . These materials absorb moisture, reduce micro-awakenings, and contribute to more restful sleep when nights get warmer.

The mattress topper completes the ensemble. It softens the initial feel, relieves pressure points, and helps regulate body heat, allowing sleep to come more quickly and naturally.

A Key Step at the Change of Season

A mattress rich in natural fibers evolves over time. Each sleep leaves a subtle imprint. With the arrival of spring and in the early days of summer, it is essential to rotate the mattress head to foot and alternate between the winter and summer sides.

This simple step allows the materials to redistribute evenly, prevents areas of compression, and preserves the breathability of the bed. It supports the natural cycle of the fibers and ensures an even sleeping surface, just as the season calls for greater lightness.

Simple Ways to Prepare the Bedroom for the Warmer Season

According to Alexandre Kassis, expert at the Adova Group Sleep Academy, the bedroom should become a lighter, airier, and more balanced space as the seasons change. A few simple adjustments can make all the difference:

  • Maintain the right temperatureAim for a room temperature of 18 to 19 °C (64 to 66 °F) to support falling asleep and reduce nighttime awakenings. Adjust the duvet and pillows accordingly.
  • Air out the room dailyOpen the windows in the morning and evening to refresh the air and release any moisture that may have accumulated in the bedding.
  • Choose breathable materialsOpt for linen or silk bed linens. Their natural freshness helps maintain comfort as temperatures begin to rise.
  • Lighten the visual atmosphereSelect lighter tones, natural materials, and soft lighting. The environment directly influences the quality of sleep.
  • Optimize the bedding system: A complete bedding system, including mattress, bed base, and topper designed to work together, helps regulate body temperature and reduce micro-awakenings during the night.
