Tonester Paints and Buster + Punch
Explore the Intersection of Color and Material

Four bespoke Tonester colors meet Buster + Punch's signature metal finishes, coming to life at High Point Market and WestEdge Design Fair this October.

What happens when paint color is created not in isolation, but in direct response to material?

Rather than selecting colors from Tonester's existing collection, Tony Piloseno, Tonester CEO and Founder, developed new shades specifically for the project, treating each Buster + Punch finish as the starting point for a color story.

The collaboration unfolds through four pairings: Casino Verde + Brass, Passport + Steel, NIGHT MKT + Black, and Undercroft + Smoked Bronze. Casino Verde sets a rich green against the warmth of Brass, while Passport, a deep blue inspired by one of Piloseno's personal timepieces, was developed as a sophisticated complement to Steel. NIGHT MKT takes a tonal approach, layering a dark neutral against Black, while the cool, concrete-inspired Undercroft was blended to balance the nuances of Smoked Bronze and draws from the cultural freedom of London's legendary Southbank Undercroft.

Together, the four pairings offer a different way of approaching color selection. Rather than treating paint and hardware as separate finishing decisions, Tonester Paints and Buster + Punch consider how pigment, material, and finish can work together to shape a space's character.

TONESTER x BUSTER + PUNCH GOES LIVE

This October, Piloseno will bring the collaboration and his color-making process directly to the design community with appearances at High Point Market in North Carolina and WestEdge Design Fair in Los Angeles.

At High Point Market, October 17-21, Piloseno will host Buster + Punch x Tonester Live, a series of live pigment-mixing installations that offers designers and visitors a look inside his process as he combines and adjusts individual pigments to create the colors featured throughout the collaboration. The collaboration will also be on view at the Buster + Punch showroom at IHFC - IH212, bringing Tonester's colors together with the solid metal finishes that inspired them.

On Sunday evening, Mixing & Mixers - Drinks with Buster + Punch & Tonester will offer an immersive experience centered on considered pairings of color, material, and finish.
