Design District 2025: A Manifesto for Emerging Design by Hall Haus

A Creative Laboratory for the Emerging Contemporary Design Scene

For its September 2025 edition, Maison&Objet has invited Hall Haus to lead the artistic direction of the Design District-a curated space envisioned as an experimental bubble dedicated to rising voices in contemporary design.

Founded by Abdoulaye Niang, Sammy Bernoussi, Teddy Sanches, and Zakari Boukhari, Hall Haus has quickly established itself as a leading collective on the emerging French design scene. Their projects combine functionality, sustainable commitment, and cultural richness-a distinctive approach that recently earned them a place in the prestigious Mobilier National collection.

Following a standout debut at Maison&Objet in 2023, Hall Haus returns with a broader and more ambitious vision: to transform the Design District into a laboratory of creative energy-a space for dialogue and expression where the new generation of designers challenges conventions and crafts new narratives.

An Immersive Scenography and an Exclusive Collection

For the occasion, Hall Haus will unveil a limited-edition furniture collection that reflects their innovative and thoughtful approach. The Design District will offer a multifaceted panorama of emerging design, with each exhibiting brand presenting its own vision of what design can be tomorrow.

An inspired visual identity, blending urban energy and movement
Drawing from the aesthetics of sport and urban graphic culture, the design and architecture agency reimagines banners, floor markings, and directional symbols as emblems of movement, momentum, and collective energy.
The logo, conceived as a dynamic visual object-modular, animated, or static-adapts fluidly to all formats, from on-site installations to digital media.
Finally, the signage, carefully designed, will highlight each exhibitor within a coherent and legible scenography: a space designed to guide, enhance, and fully support their creative expression.

When Design Awakens the Senses: A Thoughtful Curation by Pauline Vincent

Maison Balzac enchants everyday life with its scented objects and dreamlike glassware. Blending sensory poetry with minimalist design, the Australian brand brings a touch of magic to contemporary living.

Meanwhile, Franco-American designer Sophie Lou Jacobsen, based in New York, creates hand-blown glass pieces with organic shapes and vibrant hues. Her objects are designed to awaken the senses and elevate everyday rituals.

These two inspiring and sensorial worlds are part of a special curation by Pauline Vincent, founder of La Romaine Édition. A sharp-eyed talent scout, she celebrates joyful, accessible, and emotional design through her selection-shining a light on independent creators who are redefining the codes of modern lifestyle.
