Franck Genser Featured in Untold Editions' New Artist-Led NYC Gallery

Franck Genser is among the designers featured at Untold Editions, the newly opened New York gallery redefining the traditional gallery model through an artist-led approach to functional art and contemporary craftsmanship. Founded by Samantha Gallacher and Andreea Avram Rusu, the space was conceived as a gallery dedicated to distinctive works that merge art with function, with exceptional pieces curated by the makers themselves for a discerning collector. Untold Editions presents a more intimate approach to living with design, where material, light, and form come together within a cohesive narrative shaped directly by the creative vision and material sensibility of its founders.

Franck Genser's Scarf armchair and Brutaliste tables

Within the inaugural exhibition, Franck Genser presents three sculptural pieces that reflect his signature balance of raw materiality and refined form. Included is the Scarf Armchair, the designer's latest seating collection, defined by its fluid, enveloping silhouette that merges comfort with sculptural purity. Each piece is custom-made to suit its environment, reinforcing Genser's deeply bespoke approach to design.

Also on view is the Brutaliste Table, a monumental coffee table carved from naturally eroded granite. Preserving the reliefs, textures, and irregularities of the original stone, the piece appears almost excavated from a mineral landscape. Resting on three cylindrical solid oak legs, the design creates a striking contrast between the rawness of stone and the warmth of wood.

Completing the presentation is the Brutaliste Side Table in white marble, a more intimate interpretation of the collection. Featuring organically shaped marble with softened surfaces and irregular contours, the piece plays with the tension between strength and softness. Like all works in the series, each table is entirely unique, shaped by nature and refined through the vision of Atelier Franck Genser.

ABOUT FRANCK GENSER

Fascinated by the soul of objects and all dimensions of their influence on the individual, Franck Genser founded his creative studio in Paris in 2015. There, he brings together a multidisciplinary team composed of engineers and artisans. To create his furniture pieces, he draws inspiration from his imagination and explores the fields of perception. His creations combine functionality, art, and emotion.

An engineer by training and an entrepreneur by passion, Franck Genser also expresses himself in more unexpected fields such as Gestalt therapy.

An approach focused on the constant interaction between the human being and their environment.

Form becomes the foremost function, emerging from inspiration without necessarily being tied to a specific use.

Driven by a sensitive aesthetic, Franck Genser does not hesitate to blend different exceptional skills to create a piece. He particularly works with noble materials that will develop a patina over time, such as walnut, parchment, marble, and Japanese lacquer.

This unique approach results in objects brimming with emotion. They fit into a heritage perspective, serving as a current and future testimony of our era.
