| | Raku Round Globe, Boule Plumes, Camille Campignion Camille Campignion's decorative raku globe is an elegant and intriguing addition to any contemporary interior. She plays with contrasting rough and smooth textures in classic black and white. Drawing her inspiration from nature, Camille individually engraves hundreds of leaves on the wheel-thrown piece. The distinctive crackles of raku pottery make her piece vibrate with intensity. |
Pink Jar II, Zélie Rouby Zélie's vases are an exciting textural experience. She works with "chamotte" or grog clay, made of a granular ceramic material which has been fired and pulverized. She creates each of her unique vases by assembling ropes of clay one by one, coiling them higher and higher until it reaches the desired shape and size. After firing, Zélie polishes the exterior, giving the piece a lightly weathered effect, adding depth and fullness. |
Raku Flat Bowl, Arbres Habités, Camille Campignion Camille Campignion's unique raku bowl combines the elegance of black and white with the organic inspiration of the forest. The distinctive raku crackles inside and out make the surfaces come alive, while the rough black spaces add textual and visual contrast. The flat-bottomed, circular shape with straight sides is intrinsically pleasing, and the tree house motif is homey and inviting. |
Corbeille, Emmanuelle Manche The very contemporary stoneware "basket" was designed and created by ceramicist Emmanuelle Manche. The hand-engraved exterior, left unglazed to show off the beautiful, natural qualities of the fine, white stoneware, finds a beautiful subtle contrast in the smooth, glazed, sea-green interior. Emmanuelle draws inspiration from the Breton Coast of her childhood: the engraved white stoneware evokes the sandy beach, while the cool interior is reminiscent of the rolling seas. |

Gladiateur #7, Silver Sentimenti Combining his experience in the fashion industry and his work with designers such as Dior and Givenchy with his passion and technical mastery of pottery, he has brought the art of ceramics to a higher plane of existence. His beautiful embroidered cup, with its sober beige on beige tones, brings a unique touch of elegance to any décor. Silver Sentimenti turns the off-white stoneware on a potter's wheel, then carefully pierces, glazes and fires the piece. The outside is left unglazed so as to ensure a creamy, matte finish. He then hand-embroiders the cup with natural, undyed leather strips to give it its elegant attire. |
Yellow Jar VI, Zélie Rouby Organic curves, bright colors, surprising textures. Zélie Rouby's monumental ceramic vase is an experience in itself. The smooth outer surface of her lemon-yellow vase contrasts strikingly with the gritty "chamotte" interior. The sides of the vase appear to fall casually like a leather bag. The perfect accent for a contemporary living space or to add color to a patio or yard. |
Cloche Serving Bowl, Emmanuelle Manche Emmanuelle Manche has hand-engraved the exterior of her stoneware nestling bowls in her signature style. The smooth, glazed, teal interior contrasts beautifully with the textured, matte outer surface. The wheel-thrown bowls take their name from the fashionable 1920s bell-shaped "cloche" hats. The uneven rim gives the bowls their distinctly contemporary flair. |
Promenons-Nous Serving Plate, Faïencerie Georges The design of Faïencerie Georges' Serving Plate is inspired by nature and has the textural depth and the beauty of a work of art. The Promenons-Nous Collection, with the Serving Plate and matching Set of 4 Dinner Plates, is designed by Carole Georges from a series of photos taken during a winter walk in the forest --a winterscape of trees' dark silhouettes and shadows illuminated by an afternoon sun. |

Grand Vase #3, SIlver Sentimenti The one-of-a-kind stoneware vase is bejeweled with oxidized metal disks, stitched onto the clay structure one by one with a silvery leather thread. The color gradients of the metal vibrate against the different tones of grainy chamotte stoneware in steel-blue, brown and beige. Silver Sentimenti chooses to work with chamotte for its gritty texture. He mixes all his colors himself and integrates them directly into the clay. He then turns the vase in several phases, adding stripes like the flounces of a lady's dress. It is then pierced and embroidered with leather and metal rings to create this majestic vase. |
