Launched in September 2024, Women&Design by Maison&Objet is a community of key players, designers, and industry leaders from the creative industries (home decor, furniture, lifestyle, well-being, fashion, luxury, art, tech...), celebrating the boldest and most innovative female visions in design. This network, fueled by a spirit of openness, also includes men who support women-led projects and are committed to highlighting them.

Women&Design by Maison&Objet is built around three main objectives:

  • Identifying innovative and impactful international projects led by women.
  • Showcasing female design talent across all disciplines by creating and sharing dedicated content with Maison&Objet's international community.
  • Facilitating meaningful connections through dedicated events in France and abroad to foster collaborations and develop new projects.

Experiencing strong growth, Women&Design by Maison&Objet is a powerful network that is now expressed across different fields of expression, driven by committed and influential international ambassadors: Nina Magon in the United States, Kristina Zanic in Dubai, Delia Lachance in Germany, and Joyce Wang in Hong Kong.

Our concrete actions :

  • In January 2025, Faye Toogood, Maison&Objet Designer of the Year, transformed her installation into a living manifesto entitled Womanifesto! The most famous female figure in British design, this multi-talented artist trained in art history expresses herself with equal freedom in design, fashion, drawing, and sculpture. Her boundless creativity has been recognized with the Maison&Objet Designer of the Year Award.
  • Since September 2024, the Women&Design by Maison&Objet network has been promoting itself through a series of events with international reach. The events took place in Paris, New York, Dubai, and Munich, and the last dinner of the year was held in Hong Kong on December 2, 2025. SIx exclusive networking dinners provided opportunities for rich creative exchanges.
  • These encounters and exchanges also led to the creation of the Women&Design Innovation Award, which honors the most daring and innovative female talents in design in France and internationally who are transforming the design industry.

In 2025, Sophie Salager, a passionate entrepreneur and director of Manufacture de Couleuvre, and Hong Kong techno fairy Elaine Yan Ling Ng were the faces of these internationally renowned awards, which were presented to them at an official ceremony at Maison&Objet in September 2025.

For this first edition, a prestigious jury-including Danièle Gerkens, Dorothée Meilichzon, Sylvie Adigard, Constance Guisset, Jérémy Pradier-Jauneau, and Antoine Ménard - was tasked with selecting the winners from a list of 13 finalists with profiles as diverse as they were exemplary.
